Hippity Hop Balls, Pogo Balls, and Retro Space Hoppers

Climb on board and grab its ears, for fear of falling off. Now it’s time to bounce this thing. You push with your legs to bring you and the hopper up and into the air, just a few inches, but just enough to make it bounce up again when it makes contact with the ground. Bounce we go, and again, not high, not high at all, but so much fun. Momentum achieved it’s time to race,. Your friends either side of you, “Ready, steady, GO!”.

Ultimate Frisbee Flying Discs

A fun social activity requiring the participation of two or more people, they are an excellent way to raise the fun level and keep everyone interested, and also an excellent way to bring strangers together whose social paths might otherwise never have crossed. Who when watching those discs fly between each person,and seeing the enigmatic atmosphere it generates between those people and those who watch, who cannot help but desire to get involved as well. Out on the beach or in the park, your friends and family jumping and running about, throwing this disc at each other, ever faster, and ever steeper arcs through the air, directing its path as sure as possible, so that the receiver has a chance to catch it, but always trying to not make it too easy for them.

Pogo Sticks

Do you remember bouncing around on one of these ? In the school yard, down the lane, or lucky enough to have a good sized garden that will allow your pogoing antics without fear of squishing your neighbors flowers and vegetable garden.

Are you thinking you are too old for these ? Nobody is too old, just take a good look at the people at carnivals and festivals. You’re bound to find a good number of pogoers, and of any age, enjoying themselves on these, and adding to the social upbeat vibe of the event.

Jump Ropes / Skipping Ropes                      

Found in the hands of the young and the old, and those that lie in between. It helps to satisfy our desire for anything fun that will also benefit us on a social and physical level.

From playgrounds and parks, gyms and sports centres, the skipping rope can be found in the hands of girls and boys skipping along a path or grouped up with their friends for a game of Double Dutch while chanting a skipping rhyme, or as an exercise tool of a boxer, or a fitness instructor putting the client through an intense fat burning jump rope routine.

Hula Hoops

Spinning that ring around your waist, faster, faster, but keep it going, faster, but do not let it fall. Can you last as long as your friend, can you keep that hoop going for longer than your friend. Faster, faster, and YES. You give your friend the loser sign, oops, it fell.

A favorite of youngsters for many a decade, these provide seemingly endless entertainment, not just for the person using them, but also for anyone watching. Twirl the hoop on your own, or with friends. Twirl it round your body, or chase after it as it rolls along the ground.

Trampolines

Jumping high, jumping as high as you can, feeling the exhilaration of both the descent into the bed of the trampoline and the ascent as you are propelled up and into the sky. A surreal moment is had as you are suspended high in the air at the point where the ascent ends and the descent starts, then free-fall back to repeat it all over again. Oh the fun of it all

Trampolines come in many sizes and for many ages. Tiny ones for babies, small and medium for kids, and large for the bravest of us.

Water Guns and Water Pistols

Water gun in hand, freshly loaded from the nearby tap, you venture forth to find your foe, a foe who only recently was your best mate, but for the next few minutes will be a target of the biggest soaking your water gun will allow.

Small, medium, large, and bazooka level, these can provide hours of entertainment for all. Although mostly enjoyed by the young and the young in mind, they still can add to the excitement of a social gathering. If anything, they’ll keep the kids busy for a while.

Jungle Gyms and Monkey bars Climbing Frames

Letting your imagination run as you visualise yourself as Tarzan swinging through the trees of a jungle chasing after your pet chimpanzee after she stole your last supply of mango fruit, or on a paratrooper training course, racing your mates up, over and through the bars.

Jungle Gyms. Monkey Bars, Climbing Frames, or whatever you like to call them, are a great addition to any play area. Allowing those that make good use of them to improve many aspects of their physical fitness, as well as contributing towards their social development, as these can be enjoyed by many at the same time.

Outdoor and Garden Swings, Swing Sets and Baby Swings

 

Sitting there, your friend assisting you with an initial push or three just to speed up your climb into the air, you push harder and harder swinging your legs back and forth, back and forth, driving yourself as high as you can possibly go. Will you go so far as to actually go all the way over. Perhaps not today, but one day (don’t even think to try that!)

Pretty much just for fun, and still plenty of fun to be had. Swings are a great addition to the outdoor games and play equipment for children, whether at home, school, or the local park.

Kiddies Paddling and Swimming Pools

The sun beaming down, warming and brightening the day. And you, with your friends and family, splashing about in the paddling pool, water wings on hand if needed. Enjoying the warmth of the sun, but also appreciating the soothing affect of the cooling water.

Nothing like a cool pool, whether big or small, for soaking in during those hot sunny days. Fruit cocktail at hand and a comfy seat, followed by the occasional quick did, just to cool down.

Outdoor Garden Slides for Children

Climbing up those steps, sometimes taking two at a time, never quick enough, longing for that free fall exhilaration of the slide back down to the green glass below. Always over too, soon, then back to the climb, but a climb that is always worth it.

Slides are a nice edition to the garden or playground. Garden slides, pool slides and even slides without steps. Usually known as water slides, they run along the ground, and are a lot of fun.
